THE DJ: FABIO
Fabio is possibly the most influential DJ on the UK club scene. From the earliest days of the Rave scene through the current Drum + Bass mania, Fabio has served as a reliable barometer of the hottest beats. Spinning alongside LTJ Bukem, at their infamous Speed night at The Blue Note in London, Fabio proved to be largely responsible for what we now know as Drum + Bass. The Blue Note crew took Jungle and Hip Hop, merged it with jazz and funk to create a seductive new groove. Unlike many of his peers, Fabio does not double as a recording artist, his artform is strictly the mix with two turntables as his pallette. The soundscapes he creates are so rich and multi-dimensional that Fabio is booked for months in advance all over the World. Fabio has truly created his own style mixing the diverse genres of Jungle and Drum + Bass with Jazz and R&B. Fabio is avidly followed by fans and fellow DJs as he lays down deep jazzy beats and mellow Drum + Bass.

THE MC: CLEVELAND WATKISS
As a member of The Jazz Warriors, Cleveland Watkiss was voted Best Male Vocalist by Wire magazine three years running. Cleveland is regarded as a major force in the UK Acid Jazz scene. He is currently recording as a solo artist for the highly regarded Dorado label and is featured MC at numerous club nights throughout Europe. His unique vocal style, and his ability to adapt his jazz based harmonies to the world of Drum + Bass made him an obvious choice for the job of MC on Promised Land Volume 2.
